It’s no secret that our lifestyles can have a negative impact on the environment. Everyday products that we use can affect not only the health of the planet, but also our personal health. However, small steps taken now can lead to big changes later.
Who are we? We are you. Everyday people looking to make a change for the better. For the planet, for ourselves and our children, for today and for tomorrow.
Before the idea for ecoheartandhome.com came about, we looked to find products that were more eco-conscious. “Surely it can’t be that hard”, we thought. We believed that we just weren’t noticing the products we were looking for whenever we shopped. It turned out that the products we wanted were either very expensive, or weren't really what we needed. And so, we decided to open our own store. One that had the type of products that we would use ourselves. One that makes it easier for people to find good products that contribute to a great cause. A place where people can take those small steps towards a big change.
For the most part, we all use the same types of products on a regular basis. From cleaning products to personal care, from kids to pets….these are the products that should be easier to find in ‘greener’ and more natural choices. We hope to provide you with those choices in a more convenient way, by working with companies that feel the same way we do. After all….being more eco-conscious shouldn’t be a chore. It should be second-nature.
We look for products that in some way make a better alternative to the norm. They could be better for our planet, have natural ingredients, use sustainable or recycled materials, or are made through fair trade initiatives. We want your input, as well. If you know of a product that you think we should have, or if you have a company that makes products that would be a good fit, let us know.
Whether you are new to the idea of “going green” or have been doing it for a while, it really doesn't matter. What matters is that you’re making an effort. You may not think that it makes a difference, but it does. We can’t snap our fingers and magically heal the earth, but we can each do our part. No matter how small you may think your actions are, they matter. And for that, the earth and all of us, thank you.
